Like Irish or American Presidents, Redemptorist Rectors can serve two terms in office and then a new Rector must be appointed. Having completed his two terms Fr. Adrian Egan comes to the end of his time as Rector of Mount St. Alphonsus and hands over to the new Rector, Fr. Seamus Enright, at 12 Noon Mass, on Easter Sunday. During his time Fr. Adrian oversaw the completion of the restoration of Mount St. Alphonsus Church, the complete renovation of the Monastery, and, among other things, was instrumental in setting up the Redemptorist Centre of music. We are particularly grateful for the enery, creativity and enthusiasm he brought to the liturgical life of the church, and the sense of welcome he constantly extended to all. We wish Fr. Adrian well in his future ministry, and, being a Limerick native, we know he will never be too long away from his home. Every good wish and blessing to another Limerick native, Fr. Seamus Enright, as he returns as Rector, seven years after being Rector previously.
